Design and Looks
The design of the phone is a simple candy bar form factor and comes with rectangular edges which have been rounded off. The device stands at a dimension of 112x49x14.9mm. The phone has a good design and does a good job in and out of various pocket sizes without any difficulty. The phone weighs about 120g with the battery included in the handset. The phone gives a good grip in your hands and comfortable to use around even for long hours.
The front part of the phone consists of 2.4 QVGA touch screen which can display about 262K colors. The maximum resolution of the screen stands at 240x320 pixels. The display has good brightness levels and performs evenly well in direct sunlight.
Under the hood the phone has a capacity of whooping 16GB of expansion memory slot available which cater to many user's music library.
On the multimedia front the phone contains a music player and a decent 2 megapixel camera onboard. There is also a FM radio receiver onboard which is a great add on.
The camera on the E111 DS provides a 2 megapixel sensor and is capable of shooting average pictures with its sensors. The megapixel count is not much but pictures are decent enough with average picture quality and color reproduction.
There is no flash included on the handset and thus taking photographs in the low light situations would be difficult.
The music player on the device is capable of playing all the formats available and provides a good audio quality. The player interface is simple and though not listed with features does a decent job of playing good audio.
Some of the special features listed on the phone include Handwriting recognition on the touch screen, Drag and Drop icons, Opera mini and Privacy protection.
The browsing on the Opera Mini is nice with host of features built in it. On the connection front the phone is a dual band phone with the support of two SIMs at times with one of the SIM being master and the second one being the slave. The connectivity on the phone also comprises of GPRS with no support for 3G or EDGE. For local connectivity the phone has USB and Bluetooth onboard for file transfer and PC connectivity.
The battery on the device comes with 5 hours and 30 minutes of talk time and 160hours of standby time.
Overall the phone does a good job of providing the dual SIM functionality and offers a great convenience to people with a need of using two phones for their business and personal needs.
